Wildlife Photography and Conservation in South Africa

August 2024 · 2 minute read

If you’re quite adept at using a camera and passionate about nature, join the Wildlife Photography and Conservation program in South Africa. Volunteer in the Greater Kruger Area, home to diverse wildlife, with some species identified as vulnerable or endangered.

Spend your first week in an extensive workshop led by our professional photographer who shares the following:

- the basics, secrets, and highlights

- how to use camera settings properly

- what to focus on when taking pictures

- how to edit photos in Adobe Lightroom

Apply what you’ve learned through assignments, which aim to teach new techniques and help you become a better photographer.

The rest of your stay in the project is dedicated to practical volunteering. Contribute to the objectives and wider goals of the Greater Kruger and, at the same time, continue to grow your photography skills. Help the research team gather animal identification information by taking clear, concise photos of the wildlife our group encounters during game drives.
