Addison quietly had a solid rookie campaign in 2023, and he's looking to build off that performance this year. Addison is worth drafting as a high-end No. 3 Fantasy receiver with a mid-round pick. As a rookie, Addison was one of six receivers to score double digits in touchdowns with 10, and he averaged 13.0 PPR points per game. This season, Addison will get a new quarterback in either J.J. McCarthy or Sam Darnold, and there could be an adjustment for Addison. But Addison could also benefit with T.J. Hockenson (knee) potentially out to start the season, which could lead to more targets for Addison. He has the upside to be a top-20 Fantasy receiver in all leagues, and he's someone to draft as early as Round 6.

Addison, who was arrested July 12 in Los Angeles on suspicion of driving under the influence, said Wednesday that he is ready to face any discipline. "Whatever's out there for me," he said, "whatever comes with it, I'll own up to everything. I feel like anything that comes my way is meant to happen or is deserved," he told ESPN. However, no charges in the incident have been filed as of last week. Last summer, Addison pled guilty to a misdemeanor speeding charge after being cited for driving 140 miles per hour in Minnesota. The pattern of behavior could lead the NFL to discipline Addison, but the timing of any possible suspension remains in doubt. The NFL will likely let the legal process play out, which could stretch into the regular season. Addison's remarks, however, make it seem like he anticipates some kind of punishment from either the NFL or the legal system.

Addison was arrested Friday in Los Angeles on suspicion of driving under the influence, Luca Evans of the Los Angeles Daily News reports. According to a report from California Highway Patrol, Addison was found asleep behind the wheel of an immobilized vehicle blocking a lane of traffic on the freeway near Los Angeles International Airport at 11:06 p.m. local time Friday. The 22-year-old was then arrested and released shortly after a DUI investigation early Saturday. The Vikings released a statement Sunday acknowledging that they are aware of Addison's arrest and are in the process of gathering more information regarding the incident, according to Kevin Seifert of ESPN.com. Last summer, Addison plead guilty to a misdemeanor speeding charge after being cited for driving 140 miles per hour in Minnesota. The 2023 first-round pick went on to play in all 17 games during his rookie season, logging 70 catches for 911 yards and 10 touchdowns.

I'd love to see Addison finish the season with a strong performance, but he's struggled down the stretch and will be tough to trust in Week 18 at Detroit. He's scored 10.9 PPR points or less in seven of his past eight games, including 5.8 PPR points or fewer in three of his past four outings. And he's been held to five targets or less in three of his past four games. He left the first game against Detroit in Week 16 with an ankle injury that he played through in Week 17 against Green Bay, and he likely isn't at 100 percent for the rematch with the Lions. It's a good thing that Nick Mullens is starting for the Vikings, but Addison should only be used in three-receiver leagues in Week 18.

Addison departed the Vikings' Week 16 loss to the Lions with a sprained ankle and wasn't able to return to action. He then opened Week 17 prep with no activity before capping it with back-to-back limited sessions and entering the weekend with a questionable designation. Early Sunday, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reported that Addison was in line to play Sunday, and Minnesota has confirmed as much by not including him among its inactives. Addison thus will be taking on a Green Bay defense that has been torched by opposing wide receivers to the tune of a 43-632-5 line on 54 targets over the last three games.

While unable to rejoin Sunday's loss to Detroit following his ankle injury in the second quarter, Addison returned to practice Thursday as a limited participant and now heads into the weekend looking truly questionable after another limited practice Friday. A game-time call would be tricky for a lot of fantasy managers, as the Vikings and Packers are the final matchup of the week with kickoff scheduled for 8:20 p.m. ET on Sunday. If Addison doesn't play, Brandon Powell likely will fill in alongside Justin Jefferson and K.J. Osborn in three-wide formations. Meanwhile, rookie quarterback Jaren Hall will make his second career start, replacing Nick Mullens after the veteran's two starts produced a lot of yards and a lot of turnovers.

Outside of his 14-yard grab, Addison averaged only 5.0 yards per reception, leading to his lowest tally in that category since his first encounter with the Bears back in Week 6. Justin Jefferson (hamstring) should have a good chance of returning to action for Minnesota's Week 14 road matchup against the Raiders following a Week 13 bye, so Addison could well see a downturn in targets beginning with that game.
