My husband and I are expecting baby #1 in [name]July[/name] and it’s a girl! For a few years we’ve had the name [name]Hazel[/name] at the top of our list. However, about a year ago, some friends in our circle named their little girl [name]Hazel[/name]. I’d like to avoid the “oh, like so-and-so’s baby” when we announce the name…so, [name]Hazel[/name] is out. We also have a dog named [name]Hailey[/name] and we’ve discovered that she will sometimes answer to [name]Hazel[/name]. That also helped cut the name from the list.

Since then, I’ve been in search of a new “[name]Hazel[/name]”. I’m looking for a name that’s classic, recognizable but not overly popular, lower than #100 on ssa list, easy to spell, doesn’t end in -son, and not too frilly/fussy.

Our last name is [name]Wilson[/name] and middle name will probably be [name]Amelia[/name].
