Why Choose Genki Japanese and Culture School?

Genki Japanese and Culture School is a study abroad school for foreigners who want to learn Japanese in Japan. We have centers in Fukuoka City in southern Japan and in Tokyo. We specialize in teaching conversational Japanese. Unlike most Japanese language schools, our courses are aimed at speakers of non-kanji languages. The word "genki" is one of our favorite Japanese words. It roughly translates to "energetic" or "healthy" in English, but there's something to it that just can't be fully translated. "JACS" is short for "Japanese and Culture School." We chose this name to signify the dual focus of the school. We think being a Japanese school is not enough; students need to learn the culture at the same time to be able to truly understand and use the language.
