How To Craft the Gas Mask in ARK Survival Ascended

The Gas Mask, a head-slot item, shields the wearer from specific environmental conditions, making it essential for exploration in hazardous areas on the Island. Crafting it is straightforward, requiring the following materials and access to a Fabricator or Tek Replicator:

How Does the Gas Mask Work in ARK Survival Ascended?

We mentioned how the Gas Mask is used to traverse dangerous environments, but it extends a bit further than that. While it can protect you from breathing in poisonous gases (those found in places like the Swamp Cave, which is very important since this cave gives you tons of FLAK Blueprints, as well as serving as a solid XP farm), it can even protect you from other creatures.

Here's a breakdown of everything that the Gas Mask can protect you from in ARK Survival Ascended:

Its durability will deplete while being worn, similar to a SCUBA Tank. However, its durability is slightly higher (though it depletes quicker) than that of the SCUBA Tank. Once its durability has depleted (20 minutes), it can be repaired at a Fabricator by using the same materials that are needed to craft it.

The Gas Mask also allows the wearer to see more clearly underwater. However, it is not advised to use it for this purpose, as the SCUBA Mask can accomplish this as well while not depleting durability. Due to the cost of making one and with its low durability, it is usually not worth wearing the mask unless it's used for the above protection.
